Hello, again!

Today, Hisataka is unwell so, instead of him, I’m writing on this blog.

Yesterday, I phoned my Guamian friend because it was his birthday.
He was very happy to hear from me, but we didn’t have enough time to talk at length, so I’ll ring him again around the weekend.
Talking to him made me want to play beach volleyball!!!

Omotesando

Yesterday, I went to my sports gym in Omotesaondo. After that, my frinends and I decided to have dinner together. One of my friends is member of staff of that sports gym. He wanted to go to an Italian restaurant where he often goes, but he was working till 9 o’clock so he drew me a map for us to get there.
However, I have no sense of direction so of course I got lost! When we were wondering the way, somebody called my name loudly” Mina!” The person who called my name was a friend who I hadn’t met for a while. I was glad to see him so we asked each other how our life was. Then, stupidly I didn’t ask him how I could get to the restaurant! I thought I should ‘ve done that!
Anyway, after 15 minutes, we somehow found the restaurant! And when I opened the door, Surprise! Surprise! The friend who I bumped into on the street was there! We just couldn’t believe what a coincidence it was!
Needless to say, my friend couldn’t forget how little sense of direction I have!!!

Anyway, I had a great time there!
My friend used to be an actor but he’s a vocalist in a band. If you are interested in a kind of heavy sounding music, please check it out!

今年の花粉症対策は！

こんにちは。　そろそろ花粉が気になる季節になりました。　皆さんは薬の他、どんな花粉症対策をしてますか？今年私は「赤しそジュース」を試しています。

紫蘇には、ビタミン、鉄分、ミネラル、が多く含まれており免疫力を高める働きもあるそうです。また以上に反応する免疫力を正常にする働きもありアレルギー（花粉等異物に対する異常な反応）を抑えることが出来る驚きのハーブらしいのです。

赤しそジュースの味は甘酸っぱいです。私にはストレートは少々きついです…　この小梅ちゃん飴のような味をどうにか出来ないかと色々試した結果、ヨーグルトと牛乳でシェークするのが一番でした。美味しくデザート感覚でｸﾞﾋﾞｸﾞﾋﾞ飲めちゃいます！

効いているのかまだ全くわかりませんが今年はこれで頑張ってみようかなと思います。是非一度！

ネコの“フン害”

昨日はおひなまつり。たまたま友人と食事に出かけたホテルの一角に、ちゃーんと飾ってありました、７段の雛人形が。真っ赤なひな壇に、彩りを添える桃と菜の花。女の子の成長を祝うのにふさわしい、華やかな行事ですね。

最近の目下の悩みはネコのフンです。私の住んでいるのが一階で、ちょっとした庭に面しています。窓をあけてすぐの軒下、ここがどうやらネコ達の格好の用足し場所になっているようです。以前は袋入りの、ネコが嫌がる臭いの薬剤を置いてみましたが、雨が降ると濡れてしまい、使えません。また何日か前には１００円ショップで見つけたチクチクするマットを敷いてみました。適当に並べたのがいけないなかったのか、マットとマットの間にちゃっかりフンが・・・。この悪臭には耐えられません！　どなたかいい案があれば教えてくださーい。

Japanese Chocolate

This is my top 5 countdown of Japanese chocolates-I love chocolate and Japan has many excellent types!
5)Fran-I really like the apricot variety although, typically, it seems harder to find!
4)Look-so many seasonal variations!
3)Airs-I love bubbly chocolate!
2)Ghana-simple but classic I think.
1)Caplico! This is just a superb, nay, timeless chocolate. I loved Strawberry aero in Britain as a kid-tragically it was discontinued in 1978 but strawberry Caplico is very reminiscent of it. (I also enjoyed the limited edition Apple Caplico when I was in Nagano. I’m holding out for a raspberry version, that would be awesome.)
Can’t put it in my top 5 as not currently available but I really, really loved Vessel in The Fog too!

Long time no play!

I played golf today. I hadn`t played for ages so I was excited
about playing . Although I had to get up very early, my excitement
overcame my sleepy feeling.
The weather was just right for golf. I played with 3 other people
who are very nice to go around the golf course with.
My balls went into the bloody bunkers, but my score was quite
good so needless to say, I had a great time! As soon as I came back
to my house, I prepared to go to my flamenco lesson. After playing
18 holes, it was hard for me!
My legs are stiff now! But it was fun!

月曜日に「三鷹の森ジブリ美術館」に行ってきました。この美術館は日時指定の予約制で空きのある時でなければ入ることが出来ないのです。

いざ出陣！！

受付に行き天井を見上げると一面にフレスコ画があり、色鮮やかで素敵です。　中央ホールはB１Fから２Fまでの吹き抜けの広々とした空間になっています。木のぬくもりがあり館内の至る所にあるステンドグラスが光を通し床にカラフルに映り綺麗でした。　常設展示室ではアニメーションが出来るまでの作業、フィルムで動き出すまでの軌跡の展示…どれも見入ってしまいました。　他にも図書閲覧室、ショップ、子供だけが楽しめるねこバスの部屋…らせん階段を登ると屋上に庭園があり巨大なロボット兵が立っています。館内では写真が撮れないのでここでﾊﾟｼｬﾘ、ラピュタの文字が記された四角い石もﾊﾟｼｬﾘ。　

ウンウン…ジブリ最高。

今度、久石 譲のCDを買おうと思います。

美術館自体は大きくないのでちょっとした時間に行けてお勧めスポットです。是非一度!

Shortcrust Pastry

I made some shortcrust pastry today. It was a case of ‘third time lucky’. The first time I tried, the pastry came out like leather. The second time, it had oily patches on it. This time, however, it turned out really well. I used it to make a chicken and mushroom pie. The trouble is, I forgot to add any herbs, so the result was slightly bland, but at least the pastry was okay.
