日差しが強くなり夏が近い☆時期になりました！

昼間は暑い日が多くなったせいかカフェでは最近ジュースのオーダーが多くなりました。Mary Pearson’s Kitchenではアップルとグレープのフルーツジュースがあります。

３種類あるアップルジュースは全て色も味も異なります。

只今ある３種は、深い味わいの上甘い美味しさ！「葉取らずりんご」、甘いのにあっさり！「ジョナゴールド」、甘酸っぱい！「紅玉」。季節によってサンふじが登場したりします。その中でも「葉取らずりんご」が一番人気です☆

そして、ブドウをふんだんに使ったポリフェノールたっぷり！「グレープジュース」

My father

Tomorrow is the 13th anniversary of my father’s death.
I learnt a lot of things about how to live from his advice and his life-style.
When I was younger, I couldn’t quite get the point but as I’ve got older, I’ve come to see it more and more.
He was a great business man but he had a huge sense of humour!
He was also kind and affectionate to the people who were around him.
At the same time, he hated snobbish people, so he told me I mustn’t be snobbish so many times when I became a teacher. He also advised me that I should appreciate my students!

Let me tell you his great motto in life.
” Work hard and play hard!!!”

Now, it’s my motto too!!!

巨大shopping　Mall

オープン初日の「Ario北砂」へ行ってきました。私はこの手の商業施設はオリナス以来ですが、なにせ規模が大きくて驚きました！買い物だけでなくスポーツクラブやカルチャーセンターなど、趣味の部分でも人が集まりそうです。美味しそうなお店やかわいい雑貨店が入っているのでまたじっくりと探検に行きたいと思いした。そこを出て近くの老舗格、砂町銀座に寄り、先程とは違う商店街のほっとする空気を吸って帰ってきました。

Hello, everybody!

I started to play the ukulele about 2 weeks ago.

I’ve been practising, which is great fun!!!
I played ‘ Let it be’ with the English Village band last Saturday!!!
I enjoyed it!!

England vs Japan

Couldn’t believe it watching the friendly match on Sunday night-I think England are the stronger team but Japan were playing way better. But after an early lead not one but two own goals-ouch! That said, I don’t think England have a cat in hell’s chance of winning the World Cup-will be gobsmacked (in a pleasant way) if they do. Semi-finals at most I predict, probably go out a bit earlier. And that concludes my football punditry for the decade.

土産話

先日イングランドに旅行に行かれた生徒さんがいました。湖水地方～コッツウォルズ、バース…ロンドンなど周遊されたそうです。天気にも恵まれ「もっといたかった～」と話していました。中でも春の湖水地方はすごく良かったそうです♪

今の時期は１０時ぐらいまで暗くならないので旅行にはとてもいいですよね。以前ヨーロッパで夜の８時頃子供達が家の前でサッカーをして普通に遊んでいるのを見てなんだか変な感じがしたことがありましたヾ(ﾟ０ﾟ*)ノｱﾚｱﾚｰ?　でも、明るい夜、いいですよね、わくわくします！

Turkey with cranberry

I was talking about English food in my free conversation lesson yesterday.
Pork with apple sauce, turkey with cranberry sauce and so on.

It really made me hungry!
I especially wanted to eat turkey with cranberry sauce, which is my favourite!
